---------------------------Union FAQ

ABOUT LOCAL 1613

- NBPC Local 1613 is the exclusive representative (labor union) of approximately 2000 non-supervisory Border Patrol Agents and support personnel assigned to the San Diego Sector of the Border Patrol

- The U.S. Border Patrol is under the direction of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

- Since 9-11-01 our duties have diminished even further than when the Border Patrol was under the direction of the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service.  This is due to political appointees like Chief "No Confidence" Aguilar who are more concerned with protecting their careers than they are with protecting the U.S. and politicians who are more concerned with the flow of money from their campaign contributors than they are with the flow of illegal aliens into the United States.

- NBPC Local 1613  aggressively and successfully continues "Protecting Those Who Protect Our Borders!" and the National Border Patrol Council historically has been the only organization consistently defending those who defend our borders.
