National Border Patrol
Council - Local 1613 has created a new Office of Health Services to
assist
Border Patrol Agents. Under the direction of Vice President Ron Zermeno, the
Office of Health Services
will provide assistance and guidance with all matters related
to
Office
of Workers' Compensation (OWCP), Family Medical Leave Act, and in
conjunction with the Office of Fair Practices, monitoring Peer Support
and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Additional subjects may
be added in the near future as designated by the Local 1613
Executive Board.
Ron Zermeno will be
adding information related to Health Services to the Local 1613 Official
BLOG, which is located at
www.nbpc1613.net.
There are
two different websites, which specifically address two of the primary
issues that will be covered under the Office of Health Services.
